Waiheke Island – The Boatshed Boutique Hotel Review

Blogger Amanda from A Glam Lifestyle shares her Waikeke Island itinerary including her stay at the Boatshed boutique hotelHappy Monday lovelies! Today I’m finally getting around to sharing more details from our honeymoon in New Zealand. We were fortunate enough to stay at some gorgeous properties, including The Boatshed boutique hotel, which was recommended by our travel agent. After a week of driving around the South Island and being on the go, we made sure to end our trip by relaxing for two days on Waiheke Island. In this post I’m sharing my review of The Boatshed and I’ll provide all the details on what to do in Waiheke Island later this week.

Designer Splurge: Chloe Faye Bag Review

Fashion blogger Amanda from A Glam Lifestyle writes Chloe Faye bag review wearing Zara plaid scarf and grey Club Monaco Daylina coat to showcase her holiday styleDo I look like I’m freezing? If you answered yes, you’re absolutely right! It was in the mid-thirties the second day we were in Chillicothe visiting Matt’s family and I think some people would consider that warm! My cheeks were rosy and I pretty much couldn’t feel my hands. But, that’s the thing with being from Florida, where we probably get a solid two weeks of 50 degree temps. You’re pretty much always cold once it drops below 70. To attempt to fend off the frost bite (okay…. maybe I’m exaggerating), I wore the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots I scored on Black Friday sale and the Club Monaco coat I next to never took off the month of December (last seen here and here). Additionally, I’m sharing a Chloe Faye bag review in this post. It was my Christmas gift from Matt and it legitimately hasn’t been put down since the day after I received it. It’s that good!

Style Favorites – Blush Lace Top

A Glam Lifestyle blogger Amanda shares her Christmas outfit wearing Intermix Genevieve blush lace top and AG Jeans burgundy velvet leggings with Christian Louboutin nude Pigalle pumps carrying YSL monogram clutchWell, Christmas has come and gone and I’m only getting around to sharing what I wore now. As my sister-in-law pointed out, this was supposed to be my New Year’s Eve outfit (thanks for reading, Jill!). But, something told me we’d be having a quiet NYE this year since we were traveling home that day. It pained me to think this pretty blush lace top from Intermix wouldn’t make it’s debut. Thankfully, it’s on MAJOR sale now at 50% OFF! It felt glamorous and paired with my favorite velvet leggings (last seen here and here) it was the ideal blouse for the day because it has just the right amount of sparkle and glitz to celebrate the holiday.

Classic Black Puffer Coat

A Glam Lifestyle blogger Amanda wears her cozy JCrew wintress black puffer coat with her long Free People Kolby fringed scarf and warm JCrew grey beanie during the holidaysHappy Friday lovelies! I remember a few years ago being in Chicago for a meeting, seeing all of these people wearing puffer coats. And, I thought to myself – I don’t know that I like those. Wool coats had always been my warm outerwear choice. Puffer coats felt frumpy and unflattering. Fast forward to three years later. I just bought a black puffer coat for the season from JCrew (currently 40% OFF with code MUSTSHOP), and I absolutely love it. I don’t know how they do it. But, the designers managed to make the coat slimming and I don’t feel like a fluffball in it either. I guess fashion is funny that way. Your style evolves. Your tastes change. You buy things you said you wouldn’t (or thought weren’t for you) and they become your new favorite.

My Style – New Years Resolutions

Amanda from A Glam Lifestyle shares her new years resolutions for style and the blog while wearing Club Monaco Sohrab sweater dress and Maje black leather moto jacketIt’s that time of year again when we reflect on the milestones and accomplishments of the past year and think, “where did it go!?” I know that’s how I feel anyways. For Matt and I, 2016 was such a big year with our wedding and honeymoon which were major moments in our lives. Then, for me personally, the blog has also grown tremendously! Over the past week or so I’ve been figuring out what my New Years resolutions will be for 2017 and I can’t wait to share them with you here. But, before I do that I feel compelled to tell you that this Club Monaco dress I wore to Christmas Eve dinner with my family is on MAJOR sale (just over $100!). It’s overwhelmingly comfy and such a steal right now.
