Brand I’m Loving – Cece by Cynthia Steffe

Cece feminine ruffle blouse styled by fashion blogger Amanda of A Glam LifestyleAs I age (gracefully, I hope), there’s a certain peacefulness in embracing my style. Try as I might to make each purchase count and each piece that gets added to my closet my new favorite – ultimately I make some hasty decisions, invest in trends that don’t work for me, or I simply grow out of a look that I once loved (ever have that happen to you?). So, this weekend I did my first round of Spring cleaning and spent half of Saturday editing my closet to make room for new things I love and want to wear. One brand I’m loving lately is Cece. You can find them at Nordstrom and the vibe is feminine romantic – totally my style and just what I need more of in my wardrobe.

Pine Grove Farm and My 2018 Goal

The first time I saw snow I was 10 years old on a family ski vacation in Breckenridge. I remember being excited for the month leading up to the trip, only to go to Colorado during a massive heat wave. It wasn’t until the last night of our trip that the snowflakes started to fall, my parents waking me up late at night to see it in case it didn’t stick til morning. With all my travel since then I’ve been blessed to see New York City during the holidays and quaint European towns looking like a true winter wonderland. But, there’s something about Matt’s hometown of Chillicothe that’s so magical during Christmas. If you’re a Hallmark movie lover like me, it will remind you of one of those cities, but better. Over the holidays I visited the Pine Grove Farm, the cutest Christmas tree farm, and it made me appreciate all the little things.

Weekend Style – Pom Pom Cardigan

Chic pink pom pom cardigan is casual weekend outfit worn by A Glam Lifestyle blogger AmandaHappy Monday lovelies! Over the long weekend I’ve been spending some time prepping for NYFW and starting to plan our trip to Italy for later this year. Caitlin from Sauci Style (you last saw her in this post) and I will be rooming together in NYC. So, we met up to sort through some initial plans. Another cold front came through on Saturday, so I took advantage of the beautiful weather and wore this oversized pom pom cardigan. The bright pink color is perfect for South Florida (see the palm trees draped in the background). I kept my look neutral otherwise so the fun sweater was able to stand out.

Statement Sleeves – White Chunky Cardigan

Chicwish white chunky cardigan is chic with a blush henley tee from Urban Outfitters styled by South Florida fashion blogger Amanda of A Glam Lifestyle with her Celine Belt bagFirst came statement tops, then statement earrings (my personal favorite) and now statement sleeves on sweaters and cardigans are having a moment. Normally, I don’t feel obligated to buy in to every new trend. But, these bubble sleeves have been popping up everywhere, so it was time for me to test the waters and see if they were for me. I’ve never met a chunky cardigan or sweater I don’t like (there’s just something so cozy about bundling up in one, right?!). So, I almost knew in advance that I’d love this style. But, the reaction to this fun outerwear was more unexpected! I guess the sleeves did their job because everywhere I went people were just loving this fun cardi.

Holiday Fair Isle Sweater

There’s nothing that says winter like the perfect fair isle sweater. And, it’s hard to believe that until this year I actually didn’t have one in my closet! So, it only made sense to buy a few and try out the look, which I fell in love with pretty quickly. This JCrew sweater sold out over Black Friday weekend in the blink of an eye, but a few sizes keep popping back up (which proves that if you love it, buy it and add it to your cart!). But, I’ve rounded up a ton of other options that I think you’ll love, ranging from $40 to $250. This light grey knit from Abercrombie has been in regular rotation and is the most affordable.
