LEATHER MOTO JACKET

Maje leather moto jacket and Anthropologie sweater dress
The chilly temps are continuing here in Florida, so I was able to break out this awesome leather moto jacket and my new sweater dress I got from Anthropologie over the holidays (still ON SALE!). We haven’t had nearly the amount of cold weather days that we normally have down here, so I’ve taken full advantage of the opportunity! Keep reading to get the full outfit details.

It’s true that style is individually developed, but you can pull inspiration from lots of places. I have so many fashion bloggers that I follow on Instagram and I love seeing how they put together looks. This rocker-chic look was compiled after I saw three different bloggers wearing the same or similar pieces.

The leather moto jacket is a key piece in this look. Whether you go for faux leather or the real deal, be sure to get a cut that works for your body. I am a huge fan of Sheryl from Walk in Wonderland and she wore a great cropped leather moto last weekend that inspired me to get some use out of mine! While the cropped cut looks good on many people, it isn’t ideal for me. Stick to what works for your body type and is the most flattering. If you don’t absolutely love it when you try it on – don’t buy it. I also love this jacket from Topshop which is a great deal and I love this faux leather option from Free People. This faux leather moto jacket from the Kooples is a little lighter and has dark hardware if you don’t want silver or gold-toned buttons.

Since I love my neutral pieces, I kept it simple with a ivory sweater dress. I have been loving a mock neck or turtleneck style this year and nearly every dress or sweater I have now dons that type of neckline! This dress is super soft is still available ON SALE online, but you can also use the item number to find your size at a local store too (that’s what I did). Just be sure to size down though. I bought a small and it’s definitely got room to spare (not that I don’t love saying that, but it’s not the norm when I wear a small!). I also like this one, this one and this grey off-the-shoulder silhouette. I first saw the dress on Mara Ferreira from M Loves M blog. She has a great soft and feminine style and wore her dress with a shearling jacket.

I paired my leather moto jacket with these fun lace-up booties by Sam Edelman that I got ON SALE! I first saw them on Wanna Be Fashion Blogger’s Instagram and Tamryn looked too cute! Word to the wise- wear socks and allow one full wear for them to break in. After that – they are really comfy! I’ve already worn them to the office twice and out on a date night with Matt last weekend.

No look would be complete without accessories! These fun Baublebar earrings went with the tough vibe of the jacket and I toned the outfit down with my favorite Chloe Marcie bag.
