Wedding Wednesday: My Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower_Party Cakes by Shawn_dessert table-2Hey guys! I know it has been wayyyy too long! But, we are back from our wedding in Napa (sad face) and while I’m already having some wedding planning withdrawal – it is so good to not have to think about the details anymore. I intended to post my bridal shower details before we left last week, but things just got entirely too crazy. From my gorgeous white dress to my hair and makeup and the most amazing decor, I loved it all.

I’ve been buying white dresses left and right and the best part about shopping while you’re planning a wedding is that you can totally justify it! This white dress by Self-Portrait was on my radar as a potential option the second I saw it at Intermix.

I’m a huge fan of swiss dots already, but when combined with the tiered skirt and open back, this dress becomes really special and unique. I knew it would be special for the shower. To keep the look classic and let the dress shine, I wore my nude ankle strap heels and brought my YSL clutch.

I absolutely love looking back on my bridal shower because all the details were SO good! It was a bridal brunch technically, so we got to savor the tastes of both breakfast and lunchtime favorites, like my mom’s famous chicken salad that we put on fresh croissants to her homemade baby quiches! And, I have to gush about the cake for a second. Not only is the design to die for, but the flavor can’t be beat – it was dulce de leche cake with cream cheese icing. Thankfully, we had leftovers that are still in our freezer to enjoy later.

I had put together a Pinterest board that gave my Maid of Honor, mom and best girlfriends lots of decor inspiration. They even snagged one of my favorite invitations!

From the LOVE balloons to the amazing desserts table and the mimosa bar – it was all stunning and completely perfect.
