My 36th birthday was this past week and I thought I’d do something fun here. Today, I’m sharing 10 fun birthday facts about myself in lieu of an outfit post! In the last year, we traveled back to Italy, bought our first home and this blog has become a business. I’m busy all the time and mostly feel like the Tasmanian Devil. Those who know me expect me to be late… always. But, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I truly am living my best life and trying to enjoy it every step of the way. The photos here are from my most recent season at NYFW and I thought it was fitting to feature some of my fave babes (Caitlin, Kristen, and Lindsey) since they’re in my 10th fun fact listed below!

I’m 36! 10 Fun (Birthday) Facts About Me
Oh man! Where do I start!? So many people don’t like their birthday, but to me it’s a celebration of your life. It’s an opportunity for another year of love and memories with your most special people. It’s girl’s nights out and cozy nights in. In celebration of my 36th birthday, I’m sharing 10 fun facts you don’t know about me.
Fact #1
My father is Puerto Rican and Spanish and my mom is French, English, Dutch and German. I’m officially a mutt! I always say that I look like my mom with my dad’s coloring (mom has blonde hair).
Fact #2
I worked at Dairy Queen for 3 years in high school (started when I was 15 years old). My motivation was that I wanted a car! Anyway, I made the cakes there and my mom always said I smelled like a waffle cone when I came home. I still love that smell.

In high school I ran track (the 800M) and was a cheerleader. I was Captain a few different times! If you know me now, it makes sense. I’m super peppy and talk a million miles an hour. Running is still a passion of mine and it’s a form of therapy for me in many ways.

Matt and I knew within weeks of our first date that we’d get married. We had an intimate wedding in Napa (full post here) with our immediate family and closest friends and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Reading is another passion of mine. I used to have bookcases full of hard cover novels. But, I’ve converted! Now, I read them all on my iPad on my Kindle app.

Most of my photos you see on the blog and Instagram are taken my moi! I use a tripod and go out early in the mornings.

We just moved back into the very same neighborhood that I grew up in! My parents live on the other side of the lake and it’s very surreal to be here now. I feel very blessed to be by them.

My twenties were great. But, it’s been in my thirties that I really feel like me. My personality is bold, passionate and opinionated. But, I’m also generous, kind and loving. I’m unapologetically me at all times.

The “travel bug” is a real thing. I’ve been to 24 countries and counting so far! My favorite places so far have been Paris (post here and so cliche, I know!) and Positano (read my post here).

This blog is one of the best things to happen to me. I love being able to share my tips and my life with you guys. I’ve met some amazing friends along the way, like Caitlin of Sauci Style, Kristen of The Glamourous Gal and Lindsey of Life Lutzurious. Making friends is hard as an adult! So many of my close friends growing up have moved away and through the blog I’ve met a whole new group of local girls that are true friends.
