Best Swimsuits for Every Body Type

If you caught yesterday’s post, I rounded up a handful of options for what to to wear over a bathing suit. But, for today’s post I’m covering the best swimsuits for every body type! It’s taken me years to find out what suits flatter me the most. So, I’m sharing that knowledge with you today, as well as some of my favorite bikinis and one-pieces of the season. Whether you’re apple-shaped, heavy chested or curvy through the hips, you’ll find your suit to flaunt what you’ve got!

You’ve probably heard the saying before – in order to have a beach body, you get your body to the beach! I fully subscribe to that mentality and if you have a suit that fits you well, ROCK IT! My tips in this post are to help point you towards the cuts and fabrics that might work best for you. But, ultimately just wear what makes you feel good. I’ve got my eyes on this classic black suit from Mikoh that I think will look good on everyone.

Best Swimsuits for Every Body Type

With warm weather on the horizon, most of us are on a countdown for how long it will be until we can don our fav swimmie and catch a tan. As someone who is more well-endowed on top, I typically lean towards styles that give me more support for the ladies. But, I still want something that accentuates my waist.

Swimsuits that Make You Feel Your Best

Best Swimsuits for Big Chests

If you’re busty, one of the best options for you is to mix and match the sizes of your tops and bottoms. Typically I’m a large in tops and small or medium in bottoms. So, anything sold as a set normally won’t work for me.

A chic one-piece option for larger chests is this Amazon suit that’s only $25. With the tie detail at the top, you can get as much support as you need up top. But, it’s still very figure flattering.

Best Swimsuits for Curvy Shapes

For all my ladies with an hourglass shape, your best swimsuit for your body type is a suit with a high waist. This bikini from L*Space is a cult favorite by many. It works particularly well for curvy ladies with a little more through the hips!

Best Swimsuits for Pear Shape

The most common feminine body shape looks best in a swimsuit that’s plain on the bottom and draws attention on the top. I’m a HUGE fan of this suit by Eberjey with ruffle details. Their fabrics are the softest

Avoid bold patterns instead opting for solid colors. If you like a print, then pick something that has a smaller design that isn’t so distracting.

Best Swimsuits for Maternity or New Mom’s

When you’re pregnant or just had a baby, you need a bathing suit that’s nursing friendly and potentially has more coverage.

There are two suits that I think are perfect for new momma’s. The first is this one by Hunza G. It might sound crazy, but they’re a one size fits all! The fabric is smocked and super stretchy to perfectly accentuate your body. I’ve had my doubts. But, the reviews can’t lie! This bathing suit is at the top of my list.

Then, I haven’t tried this Aerie swimsuit myself, but I hear RAVE reviews! With a wrap top and fuller coverage at the bottom, it’s flirty and shows a little skin. But, it’s modest too.

Universally Flattering

Last, but not least, is Montce Swim. You might remember seeing them in this post. As a local South Florida swimsuit brand, I love their suits! They’ve done extensive fit testing and are obsessive about their fabrics. So, they’re one of the best swimsuits for every body type! This blush embellished style caught my eye!

Just know – they are very cheeky! Some of their suits offer extra coverage options. But, in the true Miami vibe, they show a bit more skin! I size up for comfort.
