Bardot Dress in Bora Bora

a glam lifestyle fashion blogger, st regis bora bora, honeymoon destination, bardot cold shoulder dress, banana republic bow sandals, bardot dressHappy Saturday beauties! Our  honeymoon to Bora Bora had its share of romantic evenings and relaxation between time at the spa and elaborate dinners. But, we also met some amazing people on the trip too! I wore this red bardot dress and nude bow sandals to dinner with another couple that we met while watching Game 7 of the World Series (Matt is a HUGE Cubs fan being from the Chicago area). Each of the dresses I brought for the trip were colorful and seductively chic in their own ways. The cold shoulder and lace detail on this dress were my favorite.

Red Lace Bardot Dress for Dinner

Packing for our honeymoon was challenging! Since we’re headed for New Zealand from Bora Bora, we had to pack for both warm and colder climates. My suitcase was completely packed to capacity. Luckily, the weather on the island was picture perfect – near 80 during the day and in the low 70’s at night.

There are four or five main restaurants at the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort. So, we were never short on dining options and had a chance to try almost all of them. The night I wore this darling red bardot dress we had reservations at Far Niente, the Italian restaurant. The sun was setting as we walked to get cocktails at the Aparima Bar which made for a stunning backdrop against the bright blue water. That’s where we bumped into our new friends and decided to dine together.

In an effort to try to minimize what I brought, I only packed these bow sandals and my favorite velvet pumps for the trip. I also limited the jewelry I took with me (it was so hard!). My Julie Vos bangles made the cut, as did my classic gold hoop earrings (similar here).

If you’re looking at top honeymoon destinations and are considering Bora Bora, the St. Regis is the go-to property for newlyweds and couples. You won’t be disappointed! Just be sure to pack a little red dress yourself for those romantic dinners.
