NYFW 2018 – Monochrome Neutrals for Day 2

NYFW 2018 winter lookWhat would NYFW be without a signature monochrome look from me? Absolutely incomplete! Day 2 at NYFW started with me and my two blogger besties, Caitlin from Sauci Style and Kristen from The Glamourous Gal, getting up at the crack of dawn for a shoot at Stuyvesant Street. If you followed along on Instagram, you saw all the fun at our entertaining dinner at Amelie the night before with some other girlies! We went for drinks afterward, so needless to say we were a tad tired in the morning! But, I love to take advantage of shooting in the city when I’m in town. It may have been 26 degrees outside, but Becca killed it and we laughed the whole time. These monochrome neutrals made for my favorite OOTD of the week.

3 Ways to Wear Neutrals

One of the best parts about attending NYFW is that you see an incredible amount of uber stylish ladies who just slay the fashion game. Every season I joke that I leave not only wanting to buy items I saw on the runway, but also the street style faves worn by my friends and style icons.

To me, the most satisfying element of style is how it reflects your personality. For these looks, we each wore our take on monochrome neutrals. When I hear that phrase, my interpretation is head to toe nude or blush tones. They’re simply my favorite. They make me feel chic, refined and elegant – like this slipdress paired with my new Stuart Weitzman Clinger booties and my go-to Celine belt bag.

Kristen’s take on the neutral trend was to mix her light grey sweaterdress with her faux fur jacket (both UNDER $100!). Our outfits were similar, but hers was so much edgier! I absolutely loved how it reflected her style this NYFW where she pushed the envelope. And, of course, Caitlin’s blush tone jacket and bright pink pants (similar here) stole the show. Always the trendsetter – I loved her look so much I immediately scouted the Zara site for other finds.

NYFW F|W – Day 2 Events

After our shoot with Becca, our 2nd day of NYFW just continued to get better. We stopped by the Julie Vos showroom (I’m almost always wearing at least one piece of their gorgeous jewelry in every look on my blog) where we got to see all of the new collection. Honestly, there was so much goodness that I’ll be dedicating an entire post to the visit within the next week, complete with video. From there we saw the Paul Andrew and Milly presentations. I’ll also have a full post on those events. Lastly, I popped over to meet the team at Tractenberg & Co PR. I’ll be starting a monthly beauty series in April and they work with amazing makeup and skincare brands that I can’t wait to share with you all.

To make it easy to find all my NYFW-related posts, I’ve created a new page here.
