Weekend Style – Pom Pom Cardigan

Chic pink pom pom cardiganHappy Monday lovelies! Over the long weekend I’ve been spending some time prepping for NYFW and starting to plan our trip to Italy for later this year. Caitlin from Sauci Style (you last saw her in this post) and I will be rooming together in NYC. So, we met up to sort through some initial plans. Another cold front came through on Saturday, so I took advantage of the beautiful weather and wore this oversized pom pom cardigan. The bright pink color is perfect for South Florida (see the palm trees draped in the background). I kept my look neutral otherwise so the fun sweater was able to stand out.

Pom Pom Cardigan: Casual Weekend Style

Lately my monochrome obsession has been in full swing and this weekend was no different. It’s one of my most shared tips on the blog – dressing in a uniform. But, to break up the color block I’ve been using jackets and cardigans to add a splash of color to my outfit.

You’ve probably seen the cream version of this pom pom cardigan on a ton of other bloggers. It would be the obvious choice for me – you all know my whole closet is basically white, cream, blush and black at this point. But, I thought I’d change it up a bit and go for something a bit bolder with the hot pink. I wouldn’t say it was “outside of the box” or anything for me, but it was just different enough.

You could easily make this a cute Valentine’s Day outfit by popping this cardi over a white dress. Or, you could opt for a more weekend casual look like I did with a simple black top and distressed denim. My Gucci loafers were a splurge from last year, but honestly – they’re one of the most worn shoes. Price doesn’t always equal comfort. But, in this case it did. Sam Edelman makes a super similar pair that’s way more affordable to get the same look.

If you love this cardigan, you’ll also love the one I shared in my last post.
