Right about now I think we’re all pretty much asking the same question – “Where the heck is our Fall weather?!” Living in South Florida we don’t really have Winter. So, Fall temps are about as close as we get to being able to throw on some layers and pretend like it’s chilly out. But, alas – it’s already mid-October. So, I said to myself that I’ll just fake it ’til I make it! I wore this casual Fall outfit this past weekend when we were out running errands. If you saw my last post with Gentle Fawn, you know I’m crushing hard on this brand right now. This burgundy bohemian blouse is another reason why. It’s long-sleeved and super light, making it a great light layer for Fall. Personally, I don’t believe in that “no white after Labor Day” rule, so I paired it with my fave distressed denim and new grey ankle booties that have already been worn a half dozen times. With my BlankNYC suede jacket – it’s the perfect Fall outfit.

How to Throw Together a Casual Fall Outfit
Comfortable Fall dressing is all about light layers. So far, everything I’ve worn from Gentle Fawn fits into that category. The wrap dress I wore in this post was ultra light and looked perfect for those chillier days in NYC with a leather moto jacket. But, most days aren’t that dressy. For a more casual Fall outfit I grabbed this long-sleeve top with crochet detail that’s very feminine and boho-inspired (also totally my style). You can wear it with denim like I did or dress it up with black slacks or a faux leather skirt for date night.
Always pile on a few accessories to complete the look. Right now I’m loving all the pretty little things from the SugarFix by Baublebar Collection at Target. I had a chance to see the collection (and some of the regular Baublebar line) when I visited their offices during NYFW. Everything coming out in the next collections is SO good! For this outfit, I wore my white tassel earrings. But, these gold beauties were my other option (you guys know I love a good gold hoop!). I also have these ball drop earrings that go with everything.
