Making the Pajama Top Trend Work for You

Here’s the thing about trends – they’re just that. They’re a fleeting style preference that may or may not be around the next season. So, when I saw girls starting to wear what looked like they’re pajamas out on date nights or for a regular daily look I was super skeptical to say the least. But, as you all know, when I see a pretty blush top there’s a good chance it’s going home with me.

I bought this Wayf top thinking there was a 50/50 chance it would be going back (that’s probably pretty accurate in terms of my Nordstrom sale purchases so far). So, you can imagine my surprise when I put this on and absolutely loved it. What made it work? A few things.

For starters, this pajama top seems slightly tailored. It doesn’t say that it is in the description. It could just be the satin finish (another MAJOR plus that also makes it look more expensive than it is) that makes it lay just right. Secondly, at just $45 it doesn’t feel like I’ve splurged. Lastly, I think because I didn’t wear it with silk pants it doesn’t come off like I’m wearing my nightgown.

I’ve worn the top twice already – once to work with black skinny pants and with my fave distressed denim here to drinks. How do you think you’d style the pajama top trend? Tell me in the comments below!
