Developing your style is a process – one that I’m still going through personally. At the strangest moments I’ll have these breakthroughs where I realize it’s okay to wear the same colors or styles over and over again if it’s what you truly love. So, with that in mind I’m trying to build up my wardrobe of what I consider closet essentials. In my opinion, you can never have too many white tops. Unless someone else has figured it out, they fade over time with wear. That’s why I don’t feel bad about buying a great one when I see it, like this sheer white blouse. Wear it with your favorite pair of denim (mine are these black legging jeans) and a pair of booties and you’ve got yourself a classic look.

A Chic, Easy Uniform – Sheer White Blouse
This might sound a little #crazy to you. But, I’m going to fill my closet with white, off-white, and cream tops. They make me happy. For some people, it’s denim. For others, it’s accessories. But, for me – it’s a clean, white blouse because it’s simply a timeless piece. Plus, they make getting dressed easy and anything that saves me time in the morning is thumbs up in my book.
I’ve rounded up a handful of my favorite sheer white blouses from a number of retailers, including Club Monaco and & Other Stories. Regrettably, the exact top that I’m wearing in this post is sold out. I bought it back in October or November and just finally got around to getting it up on the blog (#bloggerproblems). Even so, I managed to find another five blouses that I would buy right now! As you saw here and here, my obsession with Club Monaco is real! The trick is to catch their sales, which have been so good since Black Friday. This sheer top is really similar and so is this one. I also really like this tiered, sheer white blouse and it comes in a soft floral print too (I’ll grab that one when the price is reduced!).
