So, I know I already shared our wedding highlight video in my first wedding overview post here, but it is one of my favorite things we have from our special day! It honestly brings me right back into those special moments that Daniel Gruen Weddings captured. From the moment we started wedding planning, I claimed we didn’t need a videographer. Then, about three weeks before our destination wedding in Napa, I changed my mind based on two things happening. Read more to find out why we decided to have Daniel and his team document our day.

One of the hardest parts to planning your wedding is deciding where to spend and where to save. As I mentioned above, two things happened that made me want to decide to use a cinematographer for our wedding at Beaulieu Garden in Napa.
First, a close friend at work got her wedding highlight video back. Simply put, it was stunning. Then, I asked my Maid of Honor what her biggest regret was from her big day. She said it was not having a cinematographer. Matt was always in favor of having one. So, he had no problem incurring the last minute expense. All I can say is thank goodness we found Daniel Gruen Weddings!
What are the most important moments to capture?
Daniel was a PRO at working with our photographer. He let Jana get all the shots she needed, all the while getting great footage of our most memorable moments of our wedding day. Our wedding highlight video captured each of us getting ready with our wedding party, our first look in the garden, and the vows at our ceremony. It also included a snippet from my father’s speech before dinner, cutting the cake, and our first dance. I hardly remember seeing him in the background, but Daniel was there all the time!
