A moment of fashion truth: Matt loves DVF dresses so I totally use it as an excuse to buy more of them! While I last wore the classic wrap style dress Diane Von Furstenburg has come to be known for here, this long sleeve sheath dress is one of my favorites. This DVF lace dress was actually a gift from Matt (go figure) a year and a half ago for my birthday. One of my pet peeves is when fashion bloggers don’t include the link to the exact item they’re wearing. So, I apologize in advance that I’m about to do that here for nearly every item in this post. With all the recent wedding costs and future honeymoon expenses, I’m trying to “shop my closet”, so to speak.
With that said, this DVF lace dress is from the current season and probably the closest available style to the one I’m wearing. But, if you don’t own a DVF garment and you’re considering buying your first – then a great option would be this lace wrap dress, as it combines the gorgeous femininity of black lace with the chic silhouette DVF is known for worldwide. Honestly, my favorite of those available is this gorgeous lilac colored frock. It has a draw string waist to cinch you in and create proportion. Plus, the color is perfect for Summer and the price is right. Lastly, when shopping for bridesmaid dresses I wore this cream-colored number with sheer details and I saw that it’s on major sale now here! It would be a great pick for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner too.
Though a recent personal style resolution of mine is to wear flats more often, I can’t seem to break my habit of favoring sandals or pumps. My go-to Summer sandal has been a strappy ankle strap pair for the last three years now. This pair is nearly identical to mine and they’re ON SALE for under $65! Plus, these are also similar and under $80.
Best of all – this look goes from day to night easily.
