Some trends come and go, but a chic off the shoulder dress has dominated the last few years for Spring and Summer alike. If you haven’t taken the plunge and invested in one yet – now is the time!
I purchased this cute number during the Shopbop Friends & Family sale a few weeks back and shared it on my Snapchat (@AGlamLifestyle) immediately! It has a slight high-low hemline which makes it easy to wear and not too short. The gingham version is still available right now and on major SALE. It sold out quickly, but this blue and white version is super similar and I just love the lace hemline!
I recently saw an article (yesterday or today maybe?) that asked if wearing an off the shoulder dress is appropriate for work. I don’t personally think that it is, unless you plan to cover your shoulders. And – if you do that, what’s the point of wearing it at all!? There are lots of options suitable for different needs – from this casual style I could wear all weekend, to this more fitted silhouette with a brocade material that’s completely date-worthy.
I wish I could have gotten this sooner so I could have shared the exact same dress. But, sometimes that’s how it goes when you get a piece on sale. It sells out and that’s it!
