GREEK ADVENTURES IN OIA

We loved staying in Imerovigli while we were in Santorini, but on our fourth night in town we ventured back over to Oia where there’s tons of great shopping, delicious restaurants and a view of one of the best sunset’s in the world. We had one of the tastiest meals of our trip at Ambrosia after we walked the streets and took in the gorgeous views in town. woman in DVF dress shopping in Oia and sharing GREEK ADVENTURES IN OIASightseeing in Oia GREEK ADVENTURES IN OIAGREEK ADVENTURES IN OIA

When it comes to packing for trips I plan out every single one of my outfits. For our night out in Oia, I wore this flowy DVF animal print dress (similar here) that’s off the shoulder. It was still fairly warm being in early September, so it was the perfect dress to keep me cool.

A lot of the streets are cobblestone and though the varied steps are beautiful. They can make it tough to walk! I brought these lace up heels from Zara that have a chunky heel which made it a lot easier to get around. In hind sight, I probably would have worn these flats.

There are a ton of great shops in Oia where you can buy gifts for anyone on your list. One of my favorites had all sorts of items like mugs, bowls, and plates that were painted with scenes from Santorini.

I’m a HUGE advocate of getting yourself a gift during vacation. I picked up a few special items in Oia to remember the trip by. It includes a gold ring shaped like a leaf (similar here) and a pair of earrings. I also snagged a delicate evil eye bracelet like this one that I’ve worn everyday since the trip.

We had just gotten engaged the night before, so we celebrated again by having dinner at one of the best restaurants in town, Ambrosia. We had an appetizer with baked cheese and onions. It was seriously yummy. I still dream about the dessert we had with white chocolate mousse, dark chocolate leaves, and fresh strawberries. I highly recommend making a reservation because they book up fast!

Another great spot that topped most lists is Ammoudi Fish Tavern. It’s a little more casual, but the sunset can’t be beat. You can only watch the sun as it sets over the city at Ambrosia, but you get the full view at Ammoudi. The 1800 Restaurant also got stellar reviews.

We spent a full afternoon and evening in the romantic town and writing this post totally brings me back! Time to plan our next trip, I guess!
